If you have already purchased an i-net Clear Reports license for a major version (eg. 20) and you want to update to a minor version (20.x), then you can use this key for all minor versions of this major version. After you have downloaded the latest minor version for your major version you can enter your purchased license key in the setup instead of requesting a new trial license key.

In the setup you can request a trial license key via internet. This license key only works on the machine on which you execute the setup, because it uses the IP address of this machine for the license key request.
If you do not have an internet access or you are creating an installation for another system (another IP address) then you need to request a trial license key and use the configuration manager to set the license key after the setup has been finished. You can use the trial license for 90 days and decide whether to test the standard or Plus version.

i-net Clear Reports is released annually with x.4 and x.10 versions. The x.10 version is considered Long-Term Support (LTS) and receives prioritized bug fixes. The x.10 version replaces the x.4 version as soon as it is released and no new features are added to x.4. Analogously, this applies to the x.10 with subsequently released x.4 version.
