More Features

i‑net CoWork is a communication tool for companies, government agencies, schools, and other organizations. It offers features such as chat, voice and video calls, meeting rooms, file sharing, task management, and more to improve collaboration and productivity.

The following list shows the most important functions of i‑net CoWork. For a complete list of functions, please refer to the whitepaper.

Emoji and GIF Animations

i‑net CoWork supports the latest emojis, which can be used in messages and calls. Users can select emojis directly from the emoji palette. Custom emojis are added in the configuration interface and are then available to all users.

With the CoWork Klipy plugin, GIF animations and memes from Klipy can be used in messages (the former Tenor plugin is deprecated). Favorites and a search function for GIFs are also available.

Meeting Rooms

Whether for small work groups or for support with external customers, with the meeting rooms from i‑net CoWork, you can quickly create a room for text chat or video conferencing at any time. CoWork Calls and Meeting Rooms are included at no extra cost with your i-net product license. You can invite participants to the room via an invitation link. It is also possible to manually add and remove users.
When a meeting room is closed, all messages and files contained therein are deleted.

Bot Integration

In i‑net CoWork you can execute commands in the input field. Some plugins, such as the GIF animations or the AI plugin, already provide their own commands.
Authorized users can add additional commands in the Task Planner. This makes it possible, for example, to address external systems or perform recurring tasks.

i-net CoWork interface with open window for the waiting queue function.

Waiting Queue

With the increasing use of communication platforms, for example in companies, the need to prioritize requests is growing. i‑net CoWork offers a queue function. This allows requests to be managed efficiently. You can think of it like taking a number in a government office. The recipient receives a notification and can confirm the request as soon as they have time to deal with it.

i-net CoWork live transcript during a voice or video call.

Transcription

What is said in voice and video calls appears as live text so everyone can follow along and nothing gets lost. After the call you get a summary, and you can optionally have the summary posted as a message in the channel. The full transcript including the summary can be downloaded as a Markdown file. Your administrator enables the feature. See the documentation for setup details.

  • Markdown attachments open in a preview so the document body is readable in the channel without opening another app.
CoWork Dashboard with messaging, storage, and system status widgets.

Dashboard

i‑net CoWork ships with the same Dashboard application used across i-net products: arrange widgets on a flexible grid with drag-and-drop, benefit from real-time updates, and share boards with users and groups.

  • CoWork-specific widgets - for example messaging activity over a configurable period and storage usage - so you see collaboration load at a glance
  • System status widgets for operational metrics such as resources and health checks, next to communication stats, ideal for admins who run the server
  • Named dashboards, import and export as .dashboard files, and fullscreen for presentations or wall displays

Web API Interface

In addition to using i‑net CoWork via the web interface, many functions can also be accessed via a REST API. This allows you to manage users, groups, and rooms, for example, or retrieve and send messages.
The API documentation is available via Swagger and can be accessed using the URL https://<your-server-address>/api/swagger.json.
