ASP Readme - How to run the ASP samples

If IIS with ASP.NET is installed on your server then we recommend the ASP.NET sample that works without the J2EE CAS COM Bridge from Sun.

To use this ASP sample you need to do the following:

• Install a Java VM (JDK 1.5.x or higher) if it is not installed.
• Install i‑net Crystal-Clear with the setup tool (setup.exe) as report server (standalone) and add the libraries that are required to embed i-net Crystal-Clear to the system environment variable “classpath”.
• Install the J2EE CAS COM Bridge from Sun. You can download it from http://www.inetsoftware.de/download/j2eecas-1_0-ea4-win-combridge.zip
  Create a web application with the Internet Service Manager.
• Copy one of the ASP samples into the root of the web application.
• Create a virtual directory “core” and copy the file CC-Viewer.jar into this web directory “core”.
• Enter the URL "http://LocalHost/<application>/?report=c:/sample1.rpt" in the address line of the browser to display a report.
• If you have problems then try rebooting your system once.

Sample1 shows the general usage of i‑net Crystal-Clear with ASP.

Sample2 shows the usage of the method setData with a ADO RecordSet to set your own data for a report.
