Known Problems on Windows Vista

The following problems can occur on Windows Vista.

Can not install i-net Clear Reports successfully in the “Program Files” directory.

Description

The reason can be that UAC is enabled and you have executed the setup without administrative rights.

Solution

Use the setup.exe to install i-net Clear Reports on Windows Vista. You can find it in the file “ClearReports_<version>_win.zip” that you can download from our website.

i-net Clear Reports ISAPI can not be installed on Windows Vista using setup.

Description

Because of a scripting problem it is currently not possible to install i-net Clear Reports ISAPI automatically on Windows Vista. This will be fixed in one of the next i-net Clear Reports versions.

Solution

The ISAPI (CCExtension.dll) have to be installed manually in IIS 7 on Windows Vista. You can find the CCExtension.dll in the installation directory.

The uninstaller does not work correctly if you execute it directly (e.g. double click on uninstaller.jar)

Workaround

Execute the uninstaller as administrator.

The file scheduler.xml and log files can not be saved in the working directory if i-net Clear Reports or i-net Designer was installed in the “Program Files” directory.

Description

The applications does not have write access on the “Program Files” directory if UAC is enabled and the application does not run as administrator.

Solution

Execute i-net Clear Reports Configuration Manager, i-net Designer or i-net Clear Reports Server as administrator.
