System Requirements of i-net Clear Reports

The system requirements depends on the requirements of your reports, that is to say on the number of concurrently requested reports, the complexity of the reports and also the number of rows fetched from the database.

• Supported Operating Systems
  I-net Clear Reports is platform independent. This means it can run on every platform that supports Java 6 or higher (e.g. Windows, Linux, Unix, Solaris, Mac OS X 10.4+, …).
  A graphical user interface on the server is not required.

• Required Java versions
  • i-net Designer: J2SE 6.0 (supported J2SE 6.x - J2SE 7.x)
  • Report Server: J2SE 6.0 (supported J2SE 6.x - J2SE 7.x)
  • Java Viewer: J2SE 5.0 (supported J2SE 5.x - J2SE 7.x)
• Memory
  The minimum hardware are 64 MB¹⁾ RAM and 100 MB²⁾ hard disk for a full installation. The runtime need only approx. 12 MB³⁾ disk space.

• Processor
  The i-net Designer needs an 1 GHz processor. The i-net Clear Reports report server can run with fewer but it will result in a longer executing time.

• Graphic Card
  The i-net Designer needs at least 256 colors. A 32 Bit color for a better result is recommended. The i-net Clear Reports report server does not need a graphic card.

• Supported Browser versions for Remote Interface
  The Remote Interface supports the following browser versions: Internet Explorer 7 - 9, Firefox 3.0 - 4.x, Opera 9.x - 11.x, Safari 4.x - 5.x and Chrome 3 - 11.

If you use i-net Clear Reports Plus then you could use database cache or hard disk cache instead of memory cache. In this case finished pages are stored into database or on hard disk so that less memory is used for caching.

Requirements can be higher if you execute large reports with a lot of pages and/or a lot of users execute the reports.

To see the memory requirements of a single report you can export it into a PDF file. The size of the created PDF file corresponds to the memory requirements of the report.
