Task

In this dialog you can create a new task or modify an existing task, that is, a job to be executed once or repeatedly.

Here you can set when and in which intervals the task is to be executed. The interval you choose is used to decide when the next execution of the report is to occur.

• Daily - You can choose to have the task be repeated every certain amount of days, or have it be repeated on certain days only. Also, you can choose a time of day and whether the task is to be repeated hourly or every certain amount of hours on the days the task is to be executed.
• Weekly - You can choose to have the task be repeated every certain amount of days, every certain amount of weeks, or instead specify certain days or weeks only to execute the task on. Again, you can choose a time of day, as well as whether to repeat the task every certain amount of hours.
• Monthly - You can choose to have the task be repeated every certain amount of days, every certain amount of months, or instead choose certain months and days to execute the task. Also, you can choose a time of day, as well as whether to repeat the task every certain amount of hours.
• Only Once - Finally, you can choose to have task only be executed on a certain date in the future at a certain time of day, possibly repeating the task every certain amount of hours on that day only.

A task must have at least one report configuration in order to render any reports - a report configuration defines which reports to render, how to render them, as well as which property values to set.
Before you can add a report to a new task you need to press the Apply button to add the new task to the list of tasks.

A task must have at least one Scheduling Action Configuration Page if it is to do anything at all on task execution - the actions define what to do with any reports that are rendered, as well as which user-defined classes to run, if custom actions have been defined.
