Enable the Web Interface

Please note: Scheduling is a feature of i-net Clear Reports Plus.

Before you can use the Web Interface of the i-net Scheduler you need to enable it in the i-net Clear Reports Configuration Manager. To prevent unauthorized access, the Web Interface is disabled by default.

To be able to use i-net Scheduler you need a running i-net Clear Reports Plus server application or servlet. If you do not know how to start the i-net Clear Reports Plus application as a server, see Install i-net Clear Reports. If the application is running, you can configure the scheduler via the web interface.

You can access it using the following syntax: "http://<host>:<port>?init=scheduler" (e.g: http://localhost:9000?init=scheduler ). If you use it with a servlet engine then the syntax is like: "http://<host>:<port>/crystal/ReportServlet?init=scheduler".

When you run the scheduler the first time, you will have to set a password which will subsequently be used to protect the configuration interface.

It all starts with the main dialog. This dialog allows you to choose, activate, deactivate, and add tasks, as well as configure the basic settings of the scheduler or change your password.

Tasks are the primary part of the scheduler. A task has a name, a starting and an ending date, and will be executed once or in regular intervals. A task can be configured with a set of reports which will be executed at the task execution time. Actions can be added to the tasks which will be executed once the task execution process is over. The four default actions are “e-mail action,” “file action,” “cache action,” and “print action,” and it is also possible to add your own “custom actions”.
