Configuration - Table of Contents

With the version 8 of i-net Crystal-Clear, the handling of configurations has changed. Until now it was necessary to store at least one crystalclear.properties file in your file system and edit them on a uncomfortable way. Managing a larger number of configurations was not as easy as it is now: Every configuration will be stored in the preferences of your system running i-net Clear Reports, that means, e.g. the registry on Windows machine and the file system on Unix. An import function is provided to use your current settings with the new possibilities.

The new Remote Interface (available since version 9.0) allows the administration of the server configurations from any personal computer running a web browser.

The report engine i-net Clear Reports and the i-net Designer will search for its configuration in a predetermined order.
As soon as a configuration is found, it is used until the configuration is changed in any way. In this case, the configuration is reloaded as soon as a new report is requested. See more details about the configuration to use.
